Finished: Three Against the Witch World
Posted in witch world
Three Against the Witch World by Andre Norton continues the Estcarp Witch World saga with the next generation: Kemoc, Kyllan, and Kaththea, the three children of Simon Tregarth and his wife Jaelithe, a sorceress.
Surprisingly Andre Norton conveniently does away with the previous generation rather quickly at the start of the novel. She then expands the world by revealing another land to the east of Escarp called Escore. The triplets discover that knowledge of this land has been almost genetically blocked from the west.
Once Escarp becomes unbearable to the triplets, they escape to Escore and inadvertently wake up an aeon's long war between those beings who want to live with Nature and those who want to rule it.
This book was more readable that the previous one's because it was written in the 1st person.
